Role Overview
Engineering position focused on antenna design and optimization, impedance matching, SnR management for UAV communication devices.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulating technical requirements based on system level requirements.
- Designing, developing and optimizing antennas including PCB based ones, feeding tracts, filters, matching circuits, preamplifiers.
- Validating antenna design performing simulation and testing antennas and complementary RF circuits using in-house and external resources.
- Generating documentation for manufacturability.
- Keeping the project documentation under version control.
- Cooperating with engineers of other specialities to meet the project’s requirements solving multidisciplinary tradeoffs.
Experience & Skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronic Engineering, with coursework in electromagnetics, antenna theory, mixed signal circuits and power electronics design.
- At least 5 years of experience in designing and developing antennas and transceivers.
- Proficiency in Matlab Antenna Toolbox.
- Proficiency in simulation using field solvers such as HFSS, CST or FEKO.
- ECAD Proficiency: Altium Designer, Hyperlynx is advantageous.
- Understanding the concept of version control systems. Experience to keep project data under GIT repository.
- Abilities to build mockups, prototypes and debug using lab equipment such as Spectrum Analyzers, VNAs etc.
- Ability to lead the project.
- Ability to cooperate with adjacent engineering teams such as mechanical designers, optical designers and software developers achieving the common engineering language.
- Language proficiency: English - Upper Intermediate.
