Our values are rooted in responsibility, readiness, and long term thinking. We believe sovereignty must be designed into systems from the start. Readiness is achieved through capability, not procurement. Autonomy is infrastructure, not a feature. We build with the understanding that modern systems carry long term consequences. That is why we prioritise reliability over novelty, integration over isolation, and sustained capability over short term advantage.

Role Overview

Reports to: TBC

Lead the development of fixed-wing UAV airframes—from early concept and sizing through CAD release, prototyping, flight-test iterations and production-ready documentation. Work closely with avionics, propulsion, payload, manufacturing and flight test to deliver robust, repeatable airframes built for real-world operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Own fixed-wing airframe architecture: configuration, packaging, CG management, modular payload bays and serviceability
- Build and maintain 3D CAD assemblies + 2D drawings (airframe, control surfaces, mounts, access panels, jigs/fixtures)
- Design composite structures (sandwich panels, inserts, hard points, bonding interfaces) and selective metal parts where needed
- Define loads & design cases (maneuver/gust, launch/recovery, landing, transport, vibration, thermal)
- Perform structural substantiation (hand calcs + FEA: static, buckling, modal) and drive design improvements
- Support prototype builds: tooling/mold concepts, layup approach, assembly steps, trim/finish, repairability
- Prepare production package: BoM, material specs, tolerances/GD&T (where relevant), work instructions, QC checkpoints
- Manage suppliers/partners (tooling, composites shops, machining) and technical acceptance of deliverables
- Participate in flight-test readiness, structural inspections, and failure investigations (rapid iterate, ship improvements)

Experience & Skills

Must have

- 5+ years in airframe/structures design (UAV, light aircraft, composites)
- Strong fixed-wing fundamentals (stability/CG awareness, aero-load intuition, integration constraints)
- Proficiency with CAD (SolidWorks / CATIA / NX / Fusion 360) + good drawing release discipline
- Composite structures experience: sandwich design, inserts, bonding, delamination/crush mitigation
- Working knowledge of FEA tools (Ansys / Nastran / Abaqus or equivalent) + validation mindset
- Experience taking designs to production (DFM feedback loops, release packages, change control)
- Fluent in English.
- National from a NATO member country or one of the following NATO Indo-Pacific partners: Australia, Japan, South Korea, New Zealand or Ukraine.

Nice to have

- Launch/recovery experience (catapult, bungee, parachute, belly landing, net, VTOL assist)
- Tooling/mold design experience and hands-on composites (vacuum bagging, infusion, prepreg)
- Environmental robustness mindset (vibration, dust/rain, thermal cycling, corrosion/salt fog)
- Familiarity with aerospace documentation and traceability practices (PDR/CDR-style reviews)

Our Values

What guides our decisions?

Our values are rooted in responsibility, readiness, and long term thinking. We believe sovereignty must be designed into systems from the start. Readiness is achieved through capability, not procurement. Autonomy is infrastructure, not a feature. We build with the understanding that modern systems carry long term consequences. That is why we prioritise reliability over novelty, integration over isolation, and sustained capability over short term advantage.

[01]

Design with scale in mind.

We develop systems as part of an ecosystem that is intended to grow.
Scale is not an afterthought, but a design principle that shapes architecture, integration, and evolution.

[02]

Build a solid foundation.

We prioritise core architecture, interoperability, and long term resilience.
A strong foundation enables systems to adapt without fragmentation.

[03]

Practice over theory.

We value learning through application.
Systems are shaped by real use and continuous refinement, not by abstract assumptions.

[04]

Commitment beyond delivery.

We take responsibility for what we build over time.
Commitment means supporting systems throughout their lifecycle and ensuring they remain relevant, secure, and under control.

Open Positions

We are hiring talent across multiple roles, contributing to Europe’s readiness and long term capability.

We are building a multidisciplinary team across engineering, systems architecture, operations, and supporting functions. Open roles reflect the needs of a growing secure and autonomous infrastructure company, where integration, reliability, and long term thinking matter. If you do not see a position that matches your profile, we still encourage proactive applications from people aligned with our mission and values.
